Every one knows that you can now edit your Dynamics AX projects directly in Microsoft Project, but the integration gets even cooler then that. If you have an existing project plan that you want to turn into a new project, then you can create it directly from Microsoft Project itself.
This is a super easy way to migrate all of your old projects over to Dynamics AX.
Scheduling resources for projects can be difficult, especially if you have a large group of workers that you are trying to manage. Luckily for you all, Dynamics AX has a feature for visually seeing all of your workers available capacity, and also for quickly allocating workers to projects.
Now you can stop relying on Outlook being up to date, and schedule the way that you should done.
Update Your Project Plans Using Microsoft Project
With the CU7 release of Dynamics AX, a new feature was added to the Projects area that allows you to link your projects with Microsoft Project so that you can update the work breakdown structures visually Microsoft Project, and then have all of the changes automatically update Dynamics AX.
Updating project plans will never be a chore again.
